Alexis and her family are amazing to work with, so I was way excited to help with the Swanson’s Salt Lake pregnancy announcement! We headed out to the International Peace Gardens at the perfect time to catch all the beautiful blossoms!

The International Peace Gardens is such a fun location because there is so much variety! There are bridges to climb on, benches to rest on, columns to weave through, and lots of pretty plants and greenery to make the background beautiful for portraits! Plus, the timing was perfect to get the beautiful blossoms that only show up once a year! I love the candid moments and expressions I was able to capture because the kids had lots of fun climbing and running around!

Salt Lake Pregnancy Announcement

The kids didn’t know that Mom was expecting, so they thought it was just another family session. They did such a good job, and I loved seeing their fun personalities! The boys even started an unprompted game of peek-a-boo with my camera! (I love when kids’ personalities shine through in the pictures!)

This was my second time working with Big Sister. I did a baptism session with her previously (you can see it here), and I love how sweet and photogenic she is! She has beautiful blonde hair, big blue eyes, and a smile that will make you melt! She is also such a sweetheart, so she’s beautiful inside and out!

Alexis has become such a dear friend! She is so thoughtful and considerate, and always shares information when she knows about something that might be helpful. Alexis is great about uplifting others, and is quick to give compliments. She is such a great Mama to her cute kids. In addition, I love that she is willing to share her struggles openly in efforts to help others who might be in similar positions. It takes great courage to be vulnerable like that to strengthen others. I’m so glad that I’ve been able to get to know her and her family better this year, and think the world of her!
