Last year, this guy was too small to really get to enjoy the snow. This year, we got to really play with little boy in the snow, and he loved it! We bundled him up like a little marshmallow and headed outside for a little fresh air. (Anyone else get cabin fever during the winter?) The look on this kid’s face said it all. He LOVED the snow!
Little Boy in the Snow
It was a little hard for him to maneuver bundled up in all those layers, but little boy had a great time playing with snowballs and the little snowman Daddy built for him. He thought it was so funny when Daddy threw snowballs at his tummy and toes. He kept touching his chin to the little snowman to feel that it was cold.
When he tried to walk in the snow, he face-planted, which he didn’t like so much… But otherwise he loved hanging out in that cold white stuff outside. And Mama loved getting some fresh air.
After that first time, he wanted to go play in the snow just about every day. More often than not, when he said, “no,” what he meant was “snow.” I love his cute little baby voice! He’d take my hand and escort me to the window, where he pointed at the snow and make his little ‘cold’ gesture by hugging his chest with his little arms and twisting side to side. Sometimes we compromised and I’d pull a little tub of snow inside for him to play with. He’d use some of my measuring cups that he claimed possession of to dig in the snow and spread it all over my kitchen.
I sure love watching him explore and experience new things! He gets bigger and learns something new every day. I’m torn between loving seeing his development and just wanting him to stay little forever. I sure loved playing with this little boy in the snow!
