You’ve been my sidekick for 18 months, little boy! I can’t believe how big this guy is! Time has flown by! He is growing like a weed, and learning something new every day. I’m torn between being so excited for him to do all these new things, and just wanting him to stay little forever.
This sweet boy is such a good helper. He loves taking the paper towels to the closet to put them away when we get home from grocery shopping. The little man drags the laundry basket down the hall when it’s time to throw a load in the washer. (And then he pulls all the clean clothes out while I try to fold them and even puts some of them on.) He plays with the measuring cups, wooden spoons, and oven mitts when it is time to cook. Whenever the timer goes off, he makes sure I know about it by imitating the beeping noise repeatedly.
This guy is obsessed with vacuums, and loves playing with his toy vacuum while I use the big one. (Though sometimes he decides that it is more fun to play Frogger with my vacuum instead.) He loves it when we use the blender, hand mixer, or power drill, and frequently imitates the sound.
This guy is a compassionate soul, and is quick to notice when someone isn’t wearing socks, then goes to find some and insists that we put them on. Whenever I tell him, “That’s not nice,” or, “I don’t like that,” he is always quick to offer a kiss. He loves reading, and points at objects in the books to hear their names (then tries saying them himself). I love seeing him discover and learn new things.
18 Months, Little Boy
My husband is so patient with me, and helped me with an 18 month session for this little guy. We pulled out a couple of his toys and turned it into a “my favorite things” session. I’m so glad that I have these moments frozen in time to always remember when he was my precious little boy.
