Image for Utah Baby Photographer post

I love being a Utah baby photographer! Some newborn photographers won’t accept clients after a baby is 2 weeks old, but I like a challenge! Babies are sleepiest, curliest, and easiest to pose during the first 14 days of life. That’s why newborn photographers try to photograph during those first couple weeks. But, even if the session can’t happen within that 2 week window (for whatever reason), there are still options to create beautiful images of this special time in your little one’s life!

This little lady happened to be born while my studio was packed in boxes for my family’s move. I’m very close to her Mama, but I didn’t think I was going to be able to photograph her newborns because of how the timing worked out. I gave her suggestions for closer photographers, but she was adamant that she wanted me to do her newborn session. (I’m so lucky!)

She was 6 weeks old by the time we could arrange her session, and they drove all the way from Logan to my studio in Utah County! I wanted to make sure this sweet Mama had a beautiful gallery to cherish this special time for their family!

I LOVE doing wrapped sessions with older babies! This little lady was so snuggly all wrapped up, and actually stayed asleep most of the session! We managed to get a potato sack pose before she dozed off, and she gave me some great eye contact! After she fell asleep, we moved to several different prop setups with an assortment of wraps and headbands to give her session variety. She did great, and I was able to get plenty of different shots to fill her gallery.

Mom and Dad even managed to take a nap while I worked with this sweet little one! We finished when they woke up, and I got to surprise them with some gorgeous images from while they were sleeping!
