The snow had melted, the temperature was rising, and all my son wanted to do is be outside. We needed a springtime park day Little Boy! I’m so glad that I brought my camera on our outing to the park with Daddy! Running climbing, sliding, swinging, and playing with wood chips kept this kid entertained for quite some time!
It was so fun watching this guy climb up the stairs to get to the small slide. He sure loved going down! Then, we graduated to the big tube slide. He had to climb the little plastic rock wall to get up there. It took some concentration, and I loved the way he stuck his tongue out on his way up. We had to take his shoes off so that they wouldn’t catch on the slide and make him turn head first! (I think he was pretty surprised when he got flipped on his first ride down.) I think he would have gone on the slide all night if we’d let him.
The little man thought that the swings were pretty fun too. He loved having Daddy push him. At one point, he even turned to face me and gave my camera a great, big smile!
Some other kids had created a big pile of wood chips to help them reach the zip line. After they left, Little Boy decided he wanted to climb to the top of it. I don’t think he ever did get to the peak, but he made some fun expressions while he tried.
The entire time that he was on the playground, he would pick up any stray wood chips that he found and hand them to me. Once he was playing on the ground, he thought it was fun to pick up handfuls of them and throw them. He also liked scooting his little bum on the wood chips.
I sure loved watching this little boy play with his daddy at the park!
