It was quite an adventure to take pictures during Miss Thomas’ First Birthday Session! The little lady didn’t take a nap, so she wasn’t having the best day. It was fine though, because we were still able to get some adorable shots!
I’m obsessed with the cute little birthday outfit that Miss Thomas brought to her session! It went perfectly with our prop setup and added some frilly fun to the session.

We discovered early in the session that this little lady didn’t like the faux fur we sat her on.  It’s funny how every child has their own preferences.  Once we removed it, we were able to get the sweetest smiles out of her!  Miss Thomas flaps her arms like a cute little bird when she gets excited.  It is the most adorable thing to watch!

Miss Thomas’ First Birthday Session

I couldn’t resist getting some detail shots of those baby toes underneath the ribbon from her tutu.  It was also fun to get up close on her little pigtail with the beautiful golden bow!  Those little features grow so fast, so I love preserving those memories for mamas to look back on!

After that, we played with some tulle.  The little lady loved it when we brushed it over her head!  That little grin says it all!

At the end, we busted out the bubbles!  She was so intrigued as she watched the bubbles float down from above her head.  She would point at them as they descended, and if they landed on the floor without popping, she would poke at them as well.

Birthday sessions are such a fun way to capture this special time in your child’s life.  It’s crazy how fast this beautiful time passes, and I love that I can freeze a moment to help remember it forever!
