It was so fun having this family come to my studio for Baby Van Beekum’s newborn session! These guys were troopers!  The whole family decided to stay and hang out for the entire session (minus a lunch break for Dad and Big Sister)! I sure loved working with this sweet family!

Baby Van Beekum

I’m a sucker for a sisterly bond (having two sisters of my own), so I loved working with Big Sister and Baby Girl!  You can already see the love Big Sister has for Baby Van Beekum.  It was beautiful to watch how she would hold her little sister or give her a gentle kiss.  What a gorgeous pair of sisters!

It was fun to see how excited Jason (dad) was about Baby Van Beekum’s arrival.  He was such a proud daddy!  While Mom was feeding Baby Girl, he pulled out his phone and started showing me all the pictures he’d taken at the hospital and at home.  It was so cute to see how excited he was!  He was totally into the whole picture thing, so I took advantage of that excitement to make sure we got him in a couple images.

At one point, Jason even helped me soothe Baby Van Beekum while I was posing her.  He sat beside her and gently whispered, “It’s okay Baby, Daddy’s here.  Daddy’s got you.”  It’s quite a special daddy-daughter bond they have there!

Katie (mom) was such a sweetheart too!  She was so patient and helpful through planning and all the way to the day of their session!  She is so kind, and such a beautiful mama!  I loved working with her!

Can we talk about Baby Van Beekum for a minute here? This sweet babe is precious!  She loved being wrapped, and went right to sleep (as soon as we stopped moving her around for sibling shots).  She even gave us the cutest smile (with a little tongue too)!  I loved working with this gorgeous little girl and her beautiful family!
