Though I appreciate the simplicity and beauty of natural light, I also know that it isn’t always available. Understanding studio lighting techniques allows me to create consistent portrait work regardless of the weather conditions.

I love the precision of studio lighting and the artistic control it allows me in creating beautiful photos that you will cherish!

“Kashele is absolutely amazing. Her skill set is exactly what I was looking for when I was searching for a photographer. I love how she has taken the time to ensure each of the photos she presented to us were stunning. We look forward to each session with her!”

BEHIND THE LENS

Hi! I’m Kashele! (Pronounced Kuh-Shell.) My husband always tells people it’s like, “Michelle,” but spelled wrong. I’m the face behind the camera at Kashele Photography. Here’s a little bit more about me:

I’m usually the quickest one to bust out the bottle of hand sanitizer when we go out to dinner, and I’m happy to share it with the whole table! When one of the kids gets sick, I lock up the studio to keep the germs from getting on my newborn props. I love my Lysol wipes and IPA (isopropyl alcohol-aka rubbing alcohol).

I studied Electrical Engineering at Utah State University, where I met my husband in Digital Circuits class. We worked on an extra credit project together at the very end of the semester and made a digital divider. (So romantic!) He changed his major to Biological Engineering after that class, and we both graduated from the College of Engineering a few years later.

I started dance lessons when I was three, added power tumbling at eleven, and learned cheer and stunting in junior high.  In high school, I was on the cheerleading squad, but I also took AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, and basically every concurrent enrollment class my school offered. I earned my Associates of Science degree the same time I graduated high school.

I read every document before I sign. If I’m going to purchase something, I’ll read through the whole website before I’m ready to click, “buy.” When someone asks insightful questions to clarify the information they read on my website, I feel like I’ve found a kindred spirit!

On a rough day, I console myself with Reeses. I’m obsessed with salsa (the spicier the better) and anything it goes on.  I would eat Costa Vida with a nice, cold horchata everyday if I could. I also love Tai, Indian, and Italian food! My favorite pastime is to cuddle up with my little family to read.
